Tonestro WAS great! Then they changed it. My subscription was renewed in Jan. 2025. Now, there is an offer for premium, which I had a subscription to. The price was more than doubled. I didn't mind, except now I cannot access anything on the apps...all Tonestro apps. I was using this app for multiple instruments. The only way to use the app now is to pay more than double for a subscription I already had. This is horrible customer service. This has rendered the app completely useless for me.

This must be a misunderstanding! With one single subscription, you can still access all 15 instruments in the tonestro music learning app – you don’t have to pay twice. Please contact us at support@tonestro.com, and we’ll quickly resolve this issue for you.

The challenge section is ridiculous. I followed along with the metronome and played each note on beat, but it gave me a score of 0.9, now I can understand if my intonation was off a bit, but I played each note correctly and in time. I then tried to go slower than the beat and tried faster, the best score I was able to get was 2.2 (out of 100 I presume). I've been playing for 26 years and while I'm not great, I know I'm not nearly that bad.

App is pretty good when it works and has helped me improve and play more often. Frustrating because it crashes randomly multiple times every time I try to play. My phone isn't brand new but it is a flagship model from a couple years ago. Make a desktop app if it requires such high specs that most phones can't play it. Compared with other educational apps, they are stingy with free content and the annual subscription fee is insane
